VIA.Pro VIA.Pro is an open forum promoting exchanges between artists, scientists and cultural operators, with the aim of achieving a joint analysis of the frictions occurring between technology and the performing arts. A full programme of dance and theater shows, city routes, installations, performances, concerts and round table discussions will be on offer over three days in Mons. Many of the projects on show are supported by the Interreg IV European program as CECN2 and Transdigital projects.
La Web TV Created by TechnocITé and le manège.mons/CECN, La WebTV VIA.Pro 2011 is a series of Professional meetings that take place over two days. VIA.Pro 2011 will be centered around a unique theme: Is the exponential growth digital technology in our lives giving us what we want or making us any happier? Looking ahead to Mons 2015, European Capital of Culture and its theme of "Where technology meets culture,” the festival will include artistic shows that turn the focus back on the spectator via immersive devices and augmented reality that offer us the chance to experience life in virtual environments, develop our sensory capacities, and go through an individual artistic experience. The schedule will also include many theatrical forms encouraging friendliness between spectators and real interaction as opposed to the virtual kind of social networks or using tweets as raw material for their project and questioning the link between technological development and greater well being.
