![]() The CECN2 publishing initiatives are driven by the fact that few documents and publications on the performing arts and technology exist. As a matter of fact, it is important to spread the knowledge in the field and especially the new production processes of contemporary artists, in order to respond to the high demand from the professional field (artistes and technicians) and universities and art schools. The complementary nature of the different media available (Internet sites, Patch review, special edition) makes it possible to strengthen the dissemination of the activities of CECN2 and the network set up by these actions, with the intention to a cross-border reaction for sharing knowledge. In addition to the Patch, publication, issued twice a year, CECN2 also published in January 2011, in collaboration with the review Mouvement, a 48-page special edition dedicated to Thierry De Mey and in January 2012, Myriam Gourfink. The artists, chosen for their prominence (and work done for CECN2), were backed by all the CECN2 operators. Finally this website, completing these publications, is intended to structure the information and archive all the initiatives carried out within the context CECN2, whether in terms of training, residencies, or publications. |
